A Piece of France

One of my favorite spots in Austin, if I have a sweet tooth or craving savior food, is Le Cafe Crepe. This is the restaurant that inspired me to start my own food Instagram about Austin restaurants. Rightfully so I thought this should be the first restaurant I post about on the ATXGrubs website.
When you first walk into this cute little crepe shop on the corner of 2nd and San Jacinto Boulevard you immediately feel like you walked in right off the streets of Paris. Signs and antique looking chandeliers make up most of the small dining area. The outdoor patio offers more seating and gives you all the downtown Austin vibes.
The Menu gives you the option of breakfast, savory, or sweet crepes. Including a drink menu with a wide range of different varieties including beer, cafe beverages, wine, and regular non-alcoholic drinks.

My favorite crepe to get is the Chloe’s Crepe. Inside Chloe’s Crepe is Nutella, strawberries or bananas, and whipped cream. My pro tip is to get both the strawberries and bananas on your crepe and it makes it even better. I’ve also tried the classic savory crepe which is filled with ham, swiss cheese,béchamel sauce, and green onion.  No matter what crepe I get I always pair it with their chai tea latte which is hands down my favorite chai teas to get in Austin.

Le Cafe Crepe has a great atmosphere, food, and prices. My usual total is around $14 dollars including tax for a crepe and a cafe drink.
If you’re looking for some traditional French food in downtown Austin, I personally recommend giving Le Cafe Crepe a try. I went here 3 years ago and have turned it into one of my go-to spots in Austin for breakfast or brunch. The wide variety should have enough options for everyone’s taste and hopefully, this cute little spot becomes a regular stop for anyone reading this too!
