Eating my way through Austin has allowed me to find some awesome brunch spots all over the city. Depending on what you’re in the mood for you can always find a great place to sit down and enjoy good food. After doing a little bit of my own personal research, I’ve created a list of my top 7 favorite restaurants in order. Basing my choices and ranking off of atmosphere and cuisine these are my current top 7 restaurants to grub at in Austin!

My Top Choice out of all 7 restaurants is hands down Mattie’s at Green Pastures. The atmosphere and design of Mattie’s Austin top all other dining spots on this list. Grabbing a bite to eat at this beautiful South Austin, 19th century renovated property is something you just can’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re wanting to enjoy a cocktail on their lawn or dine in their newly renovated dining rooms Matties has you covered!

A close second behind for my top 7 list is Le Café Crêpe! Only lacking behind the atmosphere of Mattie’s Austin, this Crêpe shop located on 2nd street will give you all the downtown Austin vibes. Eating at Le Café Crêpe is one of my favorite experiences. Having the ability to drink a chai latte and dig into a Nutella crepe while people watching downtown gives this place a special place in my heart.

The third restaurant on my top 7 list is Native Hostel. Combining a trendy hostel and great food gives this place an edge you won’t find anywhere else in Austin. Everyone in this place is cool, possibly the coolest people you will ever meet..they enjoy sitting around the spacious dining area and listening to hip music while drinking their coffees and cocktails. Grubbing or even just hanging out and grabbing a latte here is a great experience!

Forthright Cafe is also a strong contender and is my fourth choice on this list. Being one of the best brunch spots in Austin, this place is light and refreshing and would be a great spot to grab brunch after a yoga session or relaxing morning with friends.

Hank’s Austin coming in at number five on my list is no surprise. This Windsor Park, neighborhood restaurant is so aesthetically pleasing and offers amazing appetizer options like their hummus and pita and also a variety of different great brunch or dinner options! I also recommend grabbing a latte or chia here when you visit.

Eating good food that makes you feel great afterward, helps you leave a restaurant feeling ten times better than when you first walked in. Flower Child is one of those restaurants and why I added it as number 6 to the list. Being able to customize my food options and grab a fast and refreshing bite to eat in an inviting atmosphere keeps me coming back to Flower Child on a weekly basis.

My last and final restaurant on my top 7 list is Chi’lantro. Anytime I think of Chi’lantro’s Kimchi Fries my mouth starts to water. Digging into their tasty Korean BBQ covered in their magic sauce makes all the calories worth it. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a date here though, it can get pretty messy when trying to stuff everything in your mouth.

Hopefully, my top 7 list of restaurants in Austin, makes you want to go out and try some of these places for yourself. Thank you for reading and if you don’t already feel free to follow ATXGrubs on Instagram to stay up to date with all our new posts!
