Hank’s Austin

Eating my way around Austin, I learned one very important rule…always leave room for dessert! This past week I had the pleasure of trying out the fairly new Hank’s Austin. A restaurant and cafe located in the Windsor Park neighboorhood of Austin. With a wide-ranging menu and beautiful modern minimalist decor, I had high hopes from the get-go. Walking into this light and airy cafe you immediately wanted to stay here forever. The cozy and inviting atmosphere and amazing food make it a great place to sit and enjoy a meal, grab a drink, or have a quick coffee.

Hanks’s hours vary between three parts of the restaurant which are the dining area, bar, and coffee shop. The cafe and coffee shop are open daily from 7am-10pm, and the restaurant and bar open from 11am-10pm. Hank’s Austin also offers brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm and a late night option at their bar from 10pm-12pm on Friday and Saturday!

Avocado Toast & Crispy Rice Bowl

Visiting Hanks’s I ordered an array of different items off of their combined lunch and dinner menu. My favorite item I ordered was the hummus and pita. I could have only eaten their hummus and been completely satisfied with my food experience. Being a millennial I also had to try their avocado toast and crispy rice bowl. The avocado toast was topped with a poached egg, feta, cilantro, and sprouts. Adding some protein to my crispy rice bowl that also came with a fried egg, cilantro, arugula, ginger, and cucumber. Washing everything down with one of their chai tea lattes and the Chantilly cake. Learned that it’s also unacceptable to leave Hank’s without one of their amazing desserts.

Everything I ate at Hank’s was beyond delicious and not overly expensive. I also received the best service and felt like I was family while dining at Hank’s Austin. After seeing what Hank’s is all about I can confirm it’s defiantly some great Austin grub. If you don’t already follow ATXGrubs on Instagram to stay up to date with everything I’m eating in Austin! Hopefully, this post makes your life more delicious than it already was!`
