One of my favorite chain restaurants in Austin is a place called Flower Child! Being busy and on the go a lot, I always like a restaurant that can accommodate my fast-paced lifestyle and still allow me to eat great food! It’s even better when that food is healthy and made from scratch. Whether it be taking out or dining in the quirky and upbeat atmosphere at Flower Child always has me leaving in a good mood, happy, and full.

Flower Child has two locations in Austin! One located in Downtown Austin on West Second Street, and the other at The Domain, Making it easy for people all over to Austin to grab a bite to eat here! Flower Child also offers vegetarian, vegan, and paleo food options. Accommodating to everyone’s food needs helps Flower Child stand out from other chain restaurants.
Ordering at Flower Child is a challenge for me since I have multiple go-to meals when eating here. I always recommend their Mother Earth Bowl which contains their ancient grains, sweet potato, portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onions, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette, and hemp seed! I add chicken to my bowls and any other vegetarian plate here. Adding a protein like chicken, beef, or salmon to any of their meals always helps me create a different tasting meal each time I eat here. If I’m feeling a little more of a comfort food vibe I’ll order from their plates section on the menu which allow you to pick up to three different sides and add a protein. I recommend getting their gluten-free mac and cheese, red chili glazed sweet potato, and adding chicken.

Eating at Flower Child gives me the feeling of being at a cute little farmers market with a little bit more of an upscale twist to it. Flower Child also offers different homemade juices each day and flavored teas. I always find a new drink there that tastes amazing because they change their drinks daily. Flower Child is open daily from 11am-9pm. Flower Child is one of my go-to restaurants in Austin for a great clean meal in a laid-back atmosphere.
